Survival mode isn't available yet, that I know of.

In the client, I added full support for switching between creative and survival. There are still a few bugs which will need to be fixed, which if I remember revolve around the mob spawning system.
So it will be easy to add in a later version as a toggle (like I did with Client7) but its not ready yet
