Despite having people in it, I can't connect to Minecraft Classic servers. Any way to fix this? Does anybody else have this problem?

Just because it says there are people on does not mean there are. 99% of the servers on the minecraft.net list are fake or dead.

The minecraft.net classic server list has gone down (presumably for good), but classicube.net's server list is still running and you can join servers on that list.
If you want to play the game without all of the new non-classic features, click 'pure classic mode' in the launcher.
Edit: I should mention it is generally frowned upon to reply to threads which hadn't been replied to beforehand for over six months.
