Im thinking about if classicube could have a ban appeal forum, because most of the time, people get hacked(password hacked) im just giving an idea, pls discuss if you think it is a good idea? Thanks!
I agree, but isnt getting banned for doing a suggestion in a wrong section wwaayy to harsh? I mean, ive never seen any other forums doing that..:/
Well it is also posting spam and if they posted in the wrong section they probably used bad grammar without an excuse. Or they have done numerous other things.

It's important to note that being banned from the site does not and will not (ever) stop you from playing, it'll just stop you from posting on our forums.
Ok, but what about the IRC?

I tend not to ban people from the IRC unless they were being obscenely annoying or breaking a charter rule.

All of my bans so far have been for repeatedly posting comments that consist of
- Trying to convince us to add a feature that we've declined the person prior
- Spamming our IRC in an attempt to get us to join their server
- Add little/nothing to the conversation, just using it to get more posts for some reason
- Extremely low-quality posting.
The Forum Guidelines don't list any of these things as grounds for getting banned. You may want to add them. It may have saved dozens of people from getting banned.
In fact the guidelines state:
Things that you CAN, without a doubt, post about. ClassiCube
A lot of the banned people were doing just that - posting about ClassiCube. Even if it was repetitive or low-quality it was within the rules you had made, yet many people have been banned for that. Having seen so many active users get banned I had always assumed it was for a racist, offensive or illegal post that I didn't see and which has been removed, but I see now that bans also apply to anyone who might be mildly irritating. It doesn't inspire much confidence when it comes to posting on the forum, since I'm sure anyone can come across as annoying from time to time.

Just look at rasmusolle. The admins warned him serveral times to stop spamming IRC, but he ignored that and finally got banned.
So instead of Banning just like that, Why not lock a topic..

Being banned is not a huge deal, you can just use another account if it really bothers you that much. I know it's not an ideal situation for most folks, but I'm used to the facepunch & somethingawful regimes, which lead to reasonable-quality posts.
I've updated the guidelines a bit, thanks.
no problem
