Hey all,

I have been running MDCZienny 12.2.0.0 for a long time now, and listed on Classic Cube with out a problem. Today I reboot my server and I get an error of

ClassiCube URL found: { "errors": [ [ "Server not reachable, port 25565 may not be open." ] ], "response": "", "status": "fail" }

As expected, my server is not listed in the directory (DavidinCT lava survival/freebuild server)

I checked my ports and all is open and good, Nothing has changed on the server level, not even Windows updates, or firewall ports. I double checked everything. I even completely restored from backup to confirm but, no go.

Is anything going on that would cause this ?

I assume http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/ said the port was open?

Note only IPv4 servers are supported - you can also get that error if the server is using an IPv6 address.

I tried that from another machine on my network. I watched the MDCzienny and it showed this as soon as I hit check port.

(20:36:08) 198.199.98.246 connected to the server.

(20:36:08) 198.199.98.246 disconnected.

IPv6 is disabled on my network and I confirmed the server has it disabled.

It proves my ports are working fine (I did double check this on another site). There has been no changes on my server. It's on a VM server, and just in case, I rebooted the ENTIRE server pulling down all the VMs to confirm there is no issues there.

I noticed today that MDCzienny's web site is no more ( http://mcdzienny.cba.pl/ ). It was working fine till I restarted the server. I am wondering if it is dependent on the McdZienny site for any reason...

Anyone else with MDCzienny's run into a problem after rebooting the software ?

It's just very odd, this has been running well over a year with 0 problems...

I tried running MCDzienny 11.1.1, no issues with failing to see the port as open. Will try again later when I have access to a machine with MCDZienny 12.

It opens the port fine...

Tried 11.1.1 and 12.2.0.0 with the same result... Interesting..

I even took a plain jane download from the MCd server (that I d/lded last week) started it up on the port, and same problem...

Maybe my IP is being blocked for some reason on ClassiCube ? It's the only think that could make sense at this point.

This is not a new server or a new config, Not like a NooB trying to run it for the first time. It's been perfectly smooth for a long time now...

Can anyone help here ? I want to get this server back up !

Is it possible anyone could test this ? I don't want to send my IP over a public forum. drop me an email at <my user name> @Hotmail.com

mc://<my IP address>:25565/(user name)/(pw)

I want to see if it's me, or if it's my port being blocked...

So, last night, I took a old Windows 7 x32 laptop, completely disabled the firewall, Discconected the ISP from my server and connected it to this laptop,this gave me a new IP, Ran MDCZienny on it, and it gave the same error.

ClassiCube URL found: { "errors": [ [ "Server not reachable, port 25565 may not be open." ] ], "response": "", "status": "fail" }

The port is confirmed open, When running a 3rd party test (port check on the site above), I can see it hitting MDCZienny

Anyone else here running MDCZienny that is having these issues ? Any ideaa ?

Interesting...I removed the last 2 windows updates on the server and rebooted it and the server is back online !

The problem was the website seeing your ip address as something else, thus not being able to connect which would give you that error. The owner fixed it after you left the 'chat'
