Sorry for the inconvenience

Hi guys. I have been interested in hosting my own server for a while now, and I would like to make it happen. Some time ago I downloaded MCDzienny and I configured everything the way I wanted it to, and tested it out and it worked. My tests were done without port forwarding tho, so only me and my brother could test out all the features and what not. Now I have a few questions:
What risks does portforwarding have?
As far as I can tell, mcdzienny.cba.pl has gone bye-bye, and this is an issue. It's an issue because the reason I never hosted my server yet and asked these questions sooner is because my hard drive gave out and I lost everything. Now, I need a fresh copy of MCDzienny for me to use. Does anyone have a fresh copy of the zienny software that they could send me a copy of?
I could use some direction on what I need to do to get an irc going for my server, and if I'm planning to do multiple servers (map, zs, ls, etc) I would like to know how to make a link between the servers using the irc just like NewBlood has.
I downloaded a copy of MCDzienny about a week ago (before the site went down). If you really need it, give me a place to put it and I'll upload it for you this afternoon.
It's too bad the site is down, it was a good resource on troubleshooting issues and places to download maps.
I wonder if there is a way to directly convert from MCDzienny to another server product.
It really is a shame. I wonder if anyone has a different way to contact dzienny and see why his site is down and if he can put it back up.
For now though, I think you can put the software onto dropbox or something similar for me and other people to download.

He stopped working on it a long time ago. I posted a question there about 6-8 months ago and got a reply that it's no longer supported. There was not much traffic on the site due to Minecraft being shut down.
I think he just killed the site because of that reason. V 12 just had problems, I moved back to 11.1 because of the issues I had with 12...
Oh ok. In that case, will you post a copy of the software somewhere?

The Zip file is about 2mb (1.77mb), it's not very big. Drop me an email <my user name> @Hotmail.com and I'll email it to you.
I don't think we can attach files here, so email would be the best way.
Ok I didn't realize it was so small. I'll email you.
Email sent...
Not sure if you noticed... mcdzienny.cba.pl is back online !
Awesome!
Out of curiosity why are you using MCDzienny? Depending on what you want to accomplish with your server there are MUCH better software options.
cough MCGalaxy for example cough
cough MCDzienny all day long cough
I am a lot more experienced with zienny. it's also a nostalgia factor. there are only 2 zienny servers up anymore, and they are both unused generic lava servers. I plan to restart a now-defunct community [lava/zombie mania]. they actually were gaining popularity but then the owner shut em down without warning. I want to start a community. I don't want to make some generic MCGalaxy freebuild that no one ever goes on [which is what most of the servers on the list are].
If you don't want to make a generic server that no one goes on, that's up to you, not the server software.
Fair point.
