edit: survival was added because people wouldn't stop asking for it, see the recent forum threads. Other game modes aren't really worked on because lack of players and developers

And literally nothing else. It's not just the game, it's the lack of a game. There is literally no one playing besides maybe a small 10-20 people still on. I just feel like talking about it. Server diversity is gone. Go to guest and rank up until you are done. Nothing new ever happens. Nothing interesting happens. It's repetitive and boring, especially with the lack of game modes. We have freebuid, zombie, and lava. Freebuid is nothing but ranking, if I wanted to build I could go premium. The only reason anyone plays this is to rank up for new commands, which they then use to rank up, not even considering most of the actually cool commands are admin+. Lava survival is dead, no one plays it. Zombie is the only one really worth playing, and even it gets repetitive after some time.

What else is missing that does not make it feel like classic then?

Where to even start. I'm positive that me and many others have had many great memories but my God, HOW is this game even active? Minecraft Classic has been around since 2009 and is still alive. The game has stood the test of time and is also dead at the same time. The latest post on the main page is from June. A survival mode is being added. This is not classic. The game stopped feeling the same about when classical sharp came. It isn't the same. Guys, it's dead. The only similarity is that you build and the blocks look the same. A survival mode? Really? The Only Reason you could call this classic is that it has roots in the game. And again I stress how sad it is that out of all the stuff. Lava and zombie survival, blockhunt at one point. All of these clever and fun game modes. All of the neat ideas we could try. And we make survival...great job. Classic is not back. If you came here for classic, leave. This is not it.

As I've said numerous times before, the ClassicalSharp client supports (I believe) all of the CPE extensions made so far, or almost all of them, giving it a vast possibility of gameplay choices. It's up to the server developers to make new and interesting gamemodes, they've been given all the tools and documentation needed.

ClassiCube is a sandbox, it's what you make of it.

Yea, this isn't classic minecraft. We play this, knowing that.

I've got multiple copies of survival test if anyone wants it.

classicube is not classic, however it is compatible with classic servers

so if minecraft.net servers would be up still today, you could freely join one of those original servers with classicube (i made a test with myself and yea)
