These files are essential for Classicalsharp to work. Without them, things such as sound and other things would not work.

By default, the client will download:

a) sound and music files from Mojang's resources server

b) classic and 1.6.2 jar files from Mojang's resources server, which are used to create the default texture pack

c) two .png files from classicube.net to patch the default texture pack's gui.png and terrain.png

Strictly speaking, you don't need any of the above files if you use another texture pack.

It's difficult to pinpoint exactly why they would download slower - maybe due to being a larger download at 20 megabytes, maybe due to Mojang's resources servers being at high capacity and limiting download speed, etc etc

Linking to those files for manual download will not help, because the launcher only downloads them into memory - it never saves or reads them from disc.

I cannot help investigate why they fail to download, without having the console window output.
