i agree But also, no "trim"ing people press enter for a reason, and not so people would have to press it again It's just irrational and time consuming

Markdown doesn't trim.

It's intended for text editors that don't wrap, so that you can press enter halfway through a line and not have it make a new paragraph.

I won't be changing this, as it's default markdown behavior and is commonplace on both Github and Reddit - adding confusing minor differences would throw off people who use markdown a lot (like myself).
