Hi, I've found my ancient copies of one of the first custom servers ever in Minecraft Classic - JTE's Echidna Tribe server.
It has a readme detailing how you can get it running, though I'm not sure how accurate it is. It's written in Perl, so it's not for the faint of heart.
As an added bonus, I'm throwing in the spleef server, too!
Neither have been updated to use ClassiCube, and the spleef server is still on protocol 6 I think.
