Someone should totally look into upgrading the custom blocks system to 16 bit, to allow for more customisation. Instead of having 255 blocks, you can have 65000... wow thats a lot.

You can already use 768 custom blocks on some supporting servers. A higher number of custom blocks would require rewriting of lot of the client and server(s) so is unlikely.

Last time I checked (1 year ago), it was only possible to have 255 blocks? And, is the 768 block maximum supported on MCGalaxy?

The maximum is 768 blocks (although you can't modify air, so 767 in practice).
