Help, textures won't load!

So today I just got this game, I join this zombie survival game to relish the nostalgia, but everytime I join a server, it asks if I want to download a texture pack, I click always yes, and yes sometimes. But everything is just pink, and missing, the textures are missing. I've tried re-installing, redownloading, re-joining, nothing is working I really need help fast, because I enjoy this but I do not enjoy the missing textures!

Not to mention, I DO play on a mac, and I cannot find the "help" thread post, please do not ban me, I did not know any better.

The only zombie survival up right now doesn't have a texturepack.

They don't even have any custom blocks, so I don't know how you are seeing pink.

Also, can you go back to the "chat" and actually wait around for a response. easier to talk there.
